Roughin is built and operated by WorkBench Technologies Inc., a company registered in Alberta, Canada. When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “Roughin,” that’s who we mean.

We keep collection lean. Here’s the full list:

• Account info — your email, name, and trade, so we can create and identify your account.
• Blueprint files — the PDFs and plan sets you upload, so Roughin can read and organize them.
• AI usage metadata — counts of questions asked and sheets processed, to enforce plan limits and improve quality.
• Crash reports — diagnostic data via Sentry when the app encounters an error.
• Payment info — handled entirely by Apple and Google Play. We never see or store your card details.
• Device info — device type and OS version, used only for diagnostics and compatibility.

• Provide the core service — reading, organizing, and answering questions about your plans.
• Improve the quality of the AI’s answers over time.
• Enforce billing and usage limits tied to your plan.
• Debug crashes and fix bugs.
• Respond to your support requests.

We share data only with the service providers that make Roughin run — never with advertisers.

• Supabase — application hosting and database.
• Anthropic — AI processing of your questions and blueprint content.
• Sentry — crash and error telemetry.
• RevenueCat + Apple / Google Play — subscription and billing management.

We never sell your data to advertisers. Full stop.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Some billing records are retained longer where Canadian tax law requires it (see our Account Deletion page for specifics).

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — fix inaccurate account information.
• Deletion — remove your account and data, in-app or via our deletion page.
• Export — request a portable export of your data.

Roughin is intended for users 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Our database is hosted in Supabase’s US-West region. By using Roughin, you understand your data may be processed and stored in the United States.

The Roughin app uses no marketing cookies. Our web landing page uses a privacy-first analytics tool (Plausible or similar) that doesn’t track you across sites or build an advertising profile.

• Encryption at rest for stored data.
• Encryption in transit (TLS) for everything moving over the network.
• Row-Level-Security-scoped database access, so your records are only ever reachable by you.

If we make a material change to this policy, we’ll notify users by email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
